南方科技大学海洋高等研究院(以下简称“南科大海高院”)作为校级实体科研机构,致力于高效开展南科大海洋领域有组织科研,筹建深圳海洋大学,谋划并承担重大战略任务,提升重大平台建设能力、科技创新能力和高端人才培养能力,为建设世界一流学科、新型研究型大学做出核心贡献。
深圳海洋大学依托实力雄厚的南方科技大学为办学基础,建设一所国际化、高水平的新型研究型海洋大学,深化科教融合、产教融合,培养面向未来的海洋战略科学家、卓越工程师、创新企业家,打造全球海洋拔尖创新人才培养基地、高端智库,推动深圳、粤港澳大湾区乃至全国的海洋教育、科技和产业的跨越式发展。深圳海洋大学办学定位为符合超大城市特点的专业型“小而精”高校,面向海洋领域世界科技前沿、国家重大战略需求和深圳海洋产业发展需要,三位一体(海洋大学-海洋博物馆-深海科考中心)建设,打造具有鲜明海洋特色的世界一流大学
深圳海洋大学选址位于大鹏新区坝光片区,主校园于2023年7月20日开工建设,目前已全面封顶,预计2026年校园全面竣工。深圳海洋大学二期(海洋博物馆)与海洋大学三期(深海科考中心)正加快建设中。
The Advanced Institute for Ocean Research (AIOR) of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) is a scientific research institution, dedicated to efficiently conducting organized scientific research, coordinating ocean-related resources, planning and undertaking major strategic tasks in the ocean field, and enhancing the university’s capability for innovation in ocean science and technology, scientific research support services and high-end talent training. AIOR aims to make important contributions to elevate SUSTech into a world-class institution in ocean discipline and an outstanding first-class university.
The AIOR/Shenzhen Ocean University Preparatory Office is leading the task of integrally establishing the Shenzhen Ocean University (SOU), the Deep Ocean Research Center, and the Ocean Museum. This initiative aims to cultivate urgently needed top-tier talents, promote Shenzhen’s “20+8” industrial clusters, and support the city’s vision to become a global leading ocean city.
SOU is located in the Dapeng New District of Shenzhen. The main campus began construction on July 20, 2023, with expected completion by 2026. The construction of the Deep Ocean Research Center and Ocean Museum is also progressing rapidly.

II.Targeted Faculty Recruitment
I. Research Directions
1. 海洋电子信息:包括数据科学、通讯技术、水下机器人等;研发使用声波、激光、电磁波等手段发展水面、水下、海底跨域信息传输的通信技术;开发卫星、岸基、基站、邻近空间、底基组网等技术;运用大数据、人工智能和高性能计算技术,对海量海洋观测数据进行分析与数字孪生建模。
Ocean Electronics and Information: Including data science, communication technology, underwater robotics; research and developmentof communication technologies that use sound waves, lasers, electromagnetic waves and other transmission methods to enable cross-domain information transfer on the sea surface, underwater and seabed; also develop networking technologies for satellites, shore stations, base stations, adjacent spaces, and bottom-based systems; Leveraging big data, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing to analyze large-scale ocean observation data and develop digital twin models of ocean systems.
2. 海洋新能源:研发海洋新能源(风能、氢能、太阳能、波浪能、温差能等)的开发、利用技术与评估,构建清洁、低碳/无碳、高效的海洋新能源体系。
Ocean New Energy: Including assessing, developing and utilizing marine renewable energy sources such as wind, hydrogen, solar, wave, and thermal gradient energy,to create a clean, low-carbon, and efficient energy system for ocean applications.
3. 人工智能:聚焦人工智能技术赋能海洋装备制造、海洋能源开发、海洋生命健康、海洋科学研究等全场景应用。
Artificial Intelligence: Concentrate on AI-enabled applications across the entire marine domain, including marine equipment manufacturing, ocean energy development, marine life and health, and marine scientific research.
