When artificial intelligence meets shipping and creativity intersects with technology, every innovative idea can illuminate the future of maritime navigation.
Launched officially, the inaugural "Voyage to 2050: My AI Prophecy" AI Video Creation Competition is hosted by the World Maritime Merchants Forum and exclusively sponsored by RINA. Global creators are invited to envision and depict the future landscape of the shipping industry in 2050.
Voyage to 2050: My AI Prophecy
The competition is hosted by World Maritime Merchants Forum Limited and exclusively sponsored by RINA.
The competition is open to global participants with no restrictions on age, nationality or occupation. Both individual participants and teams are welcome to enter.
Entries shall center on the theme Voyage to 2050: My AI Prophecy. The following directions serve as inspirational references and are not exhaustive:
Green and Low-Carbon Shipping
Zero-carbon vessels, new energy power systems, carbon capture technology, marine ecological protection, green ports, sustainable shipping supply chains, etc.
Intelligent and Digital Shipping
Autonomous vessels, digital twin applications, robotic systems, unmanned terminals, maritime big data, smart logistics, intelligent global maritime scheduling, etc.
Future global shipping patterns, new forms of cross-border trade, maritime and port connectivity, blue economy and social development, etc.
Maritime Culture and Humanistic Care
Future seafarer careers, inheritance of maritime culture, integration of shipping technology and humanistic care, biodiversity conservation, building a community with a shared future for marine mankind, etc.
Forward-Looking Sci-Fi Visions
Innovative maritime carriers, advanced vessel intelligent manufacturing, future ocean cities, etc.
Duration: Within 3 minutes
Format: MP4 or MOV with a minimum resolution of 720P
Creation Tool: Entries must be created primarily with AI technology
Subtitles: Bilingual Chinese and English subtitles are required if subtitles are included
Compliance Rules: All entries must be original, unpublished and not submitted to any other parallel competitions. Plagiarism, material splicing, unauthorized use of third-party works and all other irregular behaviors are strictly prohibited.
Submission Period：
September 1 – October 15, 2026
Preliminary Screening & Expert Review
October 16 – November 7, 2026
Any schedule adjustments will be announced officially in advance via official channels.
Gold Award (2 winners): HK$15,000 each
Silver Award (3 winners): HK$10,000 each
Bronze Award (6 winners): HK$5,000 each
Best Creative Award (3 winners): HK$5,000 each
All winning entries will receive an official honorary certificate issued by the organizer. Award-winning and shortlisted excellent works will be eligible for on-site exhibition and screening at the World Maritime Merchants Forum held on November 16.
Brand Element Application
The organizer (World Maritime Merchants Forum) and exclusive sponsor (RINA) will provide official brand element resources. Participants are encouraged to appropriately incorporate authorized brand elements into their works. Beyond the gold, silver and bronze awards, the Best Creative Award is specially set to recognize outstanding works with distinctive and innovative application of brand elements.
